3 SUMMITS FOR NEPAL is an ANNUAL BENEFIT CLIMB of glaciated volcanoes in the Pacific North-West to raise money to assist causes in Nepal. 100% of funds raised from these climbs will go to help grass-root organizations in Nepal that work for the betterment of the lives and for the education of Nepalese children.
2008 was a successful year with over $12,500 (and counting) raised for Nepali orphanages + $2,700 raised for C4C. All 18 participants (9 from the DC route and 9 from the Emmons route) made it to the summit of Mt. Rainier.
Please join us as we attempt to climb the following summits in 2009: 1) Basic climbing clinic - TBD 2) Mt. Baker (10,778 ft.) - TBD 3) Mt. Rainier (14,410 ft.) - TBD 4) Peak in Nepal (19,000 ft. - 20,000 ft.) - TBD
To join us on any one or all of these climbs you must be physically fit (Pls. see our advice on conditioning and experience) and must donate the following MINIMUM amount (or have friends and family sponsor your climb/s):
- Minimum donation - $1,500 - Minimum for students - $650 - Donations and costs for participation in the trek/climb in Nepal is extra (contact us for more details) |
